SCWT Health & Pedigree Database – Love Your Wheaten, Love Our Breed

Living Living & Deceased Wheatens Information Wanted:

  • We invite all owners of pure bred Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers to create a page for their dog. Puppies, adult dogs, geriatric seniors or Wheatens that are no longer with us, but live forever in our hearts, can and should have a page dedicated to them.
  • This Wheaten Terrier Database is for ALL purebred Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers, not just for show dogs or our breeders’ dogs. We believe that responsible breeding is the cornerstone to preserving and protecting the breed. Every pure-bred Wheaten Terrier is important. Their health, temperament, and beautiful faces contribute to an overall picture of the breed.
  • Dedicated, responsible owners want to contribute to responsible breeding. Knowing the medical conditions and temperaments of the dogs you own will contribute to informed, responsible breeding decisions by our breeders.
  • Owners should know that entering your dogs’ medical conditions, major or minor, will help others who might have a Wheaten with the same conditions.
  • So tell us about your Wheaten! Create a profile for your dog, add health certifications, pedigree information, litters, photos, and, most importantly, update the database with all health issues, and, if applicable, age and cause of death.
  • To add in your dog’s information, simply click on this link: https://scwtdb.org, then click on the Submit Data tab located on the top of the page. Here you will find all the choices to submit your personal and pet information via the forms.
  • After your information is submitted, our trained operators will review the data and enter it into the Database. If additional documentation is required, an operator will contact you in due course to request a copy of it for verification purposes.
  • Please be aware that all submitted data is handled in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation. It is the Endowment’s policy to not provide personal contact information or mailing lists to any person or organization other than for scientific research.
